How one actor’s blunt quote (“AI-generated crap”) captures a much bigger problem: the industrialization of misinfo rmation in entertainment—and what creators, studios, journalists, and fans can do about it.

By the time Landman wrapped its second season, it had already become one of those modern streaming phenomena that seems to live in two parallel worlds.

In the first world—the one inside the show—West Texas is a pressure cooker of money, heat, danger, and moral compromise. Deals are made in dust and diesel fumes; loyalty is negotiated as much as land leases.
